Mini grocery stop- TIP: purchase produce in smaller portions!

image

Lately I’ve been noticing that I don’t seem to be eating all of the fruit and veggies that I purchase before they go bad.

So, to switch things up (and save a bit of money since I’m on a college girl budget) last week I didn’t buy as much produce as I usually would.

My plan totally worked, I actually ran out of fruit and veggies early- and not even a single strawberry went to waste!

The downside however, is I had to make another mini-trip to the store today to stock up on what I ran out of.

I secretly love grocery shopping so I didn’t mind 🙂

Try this out guys! Save money by buying produce in smaller portions.

  1. Great idea! Something I like doing is instead of grabbing carts at the grocery store, I get the baskets that way the more I buy the harder is it to carry around!

  2. I’m a college girl too and I love the challenge of making healthy meals on a small budget! It is definitely important to find that happy medium where you use everything you buy before it spoils, and buying enough to last the week!
