I just got home from teaching Sunday school at church, and then took my little yorkie Locket for a long walk!
Taking your dog for a long walk is a great way to fit in some extra exercise in your day.
We went about 2 miles around the lake by my house which she really enjoyed. That extra 2 miles put me in such a great mood!
Finishing our walk off with some healthy doggie cookies and a fresh fruit smoothie.
If you have a precious puppy of your own, use her as a fabulous excuse to get your butt off the computer and explore nature for a while.

I’m at the grocery store right now, buying all the fruit I need for the rest of this week’s morning fruit smoothies- and I spotted this clever shirt.

After I saw it, I just had to stop her and ask if I could snap a picture for my health blog. She was flattered, and even asked me for a link!

These baby gourmet grilled cheese panini’s will take your breath away. Using your pink panini maker (or which ever color panini maker you own, even though pink is the best color of course) eliminates the time it would normally take to bake them in the oven.
Also, using a panini maker eliminates the need to fry them in a pan. This makes these cute little babies much healthier too.
This took a total of 10 minutes, and was worth every second!
Sauted Portabella Mushrooms
Avocado Feta Spread
Caramalize your onions
Saute the portabella mushrooms in all natural honey (which is a sweet delicous substitute for oil)
Spread the bottom half of the chibatta bread with pesto, and the top half with avocado feta spread. You can use what ever spread or dip you like, i just happened to find the Avocado-pesto spread at the farmers market and fell in love with it.
Layer your cheese, sauted portabella mushrooms and caramalized onlions on the chibatta slices
Toss them in your panini maker, and vuala- you have delicious baby gourmet grilled cheese paninis that will impress all your guests!
I paired my mini panini’s with my 2 minute side italian salad, and a home-made fruit smoothie.

It’s a beautiful Saturday afternoon in Sunny San Diego today, and I’m so blessed to be able to take a few hours by this classy fountain and blog my little Fitspirational Heart out!
I just finished a bowl of fresh hearty tomato basil soup at the quaint cafe next door, and it was just enough to fill my tummy for the next few fabulous hours. I’m lucky to have snagged this awesome spot next to the fountain, the sound of the water falling is perfect blogging music.
Not going to lie, this fountain next to me is looking pretty cold and tempting… if there wasn’t a group of seventy-something year old golden girls sitting at the table next to me, I’d dive right in!
On that note- I’ve decided that I’m going to use the rest of my college free summer to pour my heart and soul into my cyber baby TheFitspirationalBlonde.com! Get excited guys, I have spectacular God-sized dreams for this fabulous blog.

As a huge fan of the office, I couldn’t go another minute without posting Dwight’s huge face on my health blog!
Lifting weights is NOT going to make you huge ladies. This is a common misconception that I get asked about quite often. If you’re on a bad diet, and you just can’t seem to keep your hands off Mr. Ben and Mr. Jerry (if you know what I mean *ehem ICECREAM ehem**.
If you balance out a healthy diet (with protein/fruits/veggies) with a solid workout plan, you’ll EARN your way to the body of your dreams! Lifting weights is NOT going to make you big, but lifting weights without training might. If you’re really worries about this, please message me and we’ll go over your exercise routine together. A good cardio mix with strengthening exercises and weights will actually lean you out.
Whats the worst that can happen? You might just end up with a fabulously it body. Oops 🙂
Corn takes quite a while to bake. If you’re hungry and in a hurry, you’re more likely to grab something unhealthy because of your lack of time, such as icecream or a bag of chips.
By pre-preparing healthy snacks such as baked corn, you don’t have to wait so long when you’re hungry and in a hurry!
**Like my yellow nail polish?!? It matches the corn perfectly haha I didn’t even plan that!
When you’re ready to snack, simply bake a few pieces of corn at once, keep them in the fringe, and just reheat a piece in less then 3 minutes!
This will make you less tempted to get your hands on junk food.
Yes, before you judge me for posting sugar-packed-buttery-croissants on my health blog… All I have to say is I don’t care. For 5 days out of the month, I’m a crampy-chocolate-craving-DIVA who watches Sex and the City for hours; and punches anything that comes near me with male genitalia.
For the remaining 25 days I’m a healthy salad & smoothie loving Princess.
So, as I cram shovelfulls of Nutella into my guilt-free mouth… I’ll end this period post by saying- I’m real, I’m honest, and it’s okay to have an off day… Or 5.
In T-minus 4 days, I’ll be back to my healthy loving self. Until then, there better be a Godiva Chocolate store within walking distance.
